Public Speaking Workshop

On June 26, 2024 the Debate Club hosted a Public Speaking Workshop aimed at improving the oratory skills of Students. The Session was handled by Mr. Bejoy Peter, Performance Coach @ Mettle Networks, Technopark, Tvm. The Workshop began with a presentation on the essentials of Public Speaking. The Event took place in the College Seminar Hall from 1.00pm to 2.45 pm, attracting over 40 students from various Departments eager to enhance their public speaking abilities. Ms. Aswathy ( Club Coordinator, Department of Economics and Ms. Rajalekshmy ( Department of Commerce ) were instrumental in organizing the event and ensuring its smooth execution.

Benevolent Sexism: Debate competition

The members of the Debate Club of GCAS won third prize in the Debate competition entitled "Benevolent Sexism" convened as part of Kanal Fest by the District Women and Child Development Mission Shakti Hub at Karyavattom Campus on March 5, 2024. The International Literacy Day 2023 – Debate Competition

International Literacy Day 2023 was celebrated in our College by the Debate Club today, 08 Sept from 11.10 pm to 12.10 pm. A debate competition was conducted for the students. There were 2 teams of debaters, from Commerce, Psychology and English, debating for and against a motion.

Debating Club

A debate club gives students of all abilities a way of developing their oracy skills. The club uses different activities to help students with their critical thinking and confident communication.
