Food Fest " Food Carnival "

Entrepreneurship Development Club of GCAS organized a Food Fest " Food Carnival " as part of National Food Day at the Old Library Hall. This Programme aimed to provide the students with an opportunity to showcase their culinary skills in preparing homely food and make them aware of the importance of providing quality food to others. The Fest was inaugurated by our College principal Dr. R Gopakumar. 30 students participated in this Food Fest. They prepared homely food items and sold their food items at reasonable rate. The students used innovative ideas to create the ambience and atmosphere and they designed posters and quotes related to food for attracting customers to their products. Our students got an opportunity to commercialise their ideas and provide a variety of food products to their customers in the whole college.

Manifesting the Entrepreneurial Dreams : A Story telling Competition about Successful Entrepreneurs.

The Entrepreneurship Development club of our college conducted a storytelling competition of successful entrepreneurs. Students actively participated in the competition. Students presented the successful stories of various entrepreneurs with the aid of PowerPoint presentations. Aswanth S S(S3 B.Com), Ann Tresa Thomas (S5 B1) and Abhishek Alex, and Hanna Ani Johnson and Rohith Aji Cheriyan (S5B1) won first, second, and third prizes respectively.

Lotion and Soap-making Workshop

On 25th January 2024, the ED Club organized Lotion and Soap-making Workshop for the students. The Session was handled by two eminent personalities Mr. V. Sukumaran and Mr. M.M. Ummar from Gandhibhavan. They gave comprehensive information on the ingredients and instruments used in lotion and soap-making. Our students also got an opportunity to prepare soap and lotion under this session.

foodie fiesta - Food Fest

On 26th October 2023, the ED Club organized a Food Fest foodie fiesta as part of the celebration of World Food Day at the Seminar Hall. The aim of this Programme was to provide the students an opportunity to showcase their culinary skills in homely foods and make them aware of the importance of providing quality food to others. 25 students participated in this Food Fest.

Workshop on Cake Baking

On 26th October 2023, the Entrepreneurship Development (ED) Club of GCAS organized a Cake Baking Workshop at the Seminar Hall. Our 35 students got an opportunity to learn, prepare and commercialize cakes prepared by them. Ms. Lekha explained and demonstrated the baking of Butter Cake to the students in the easiest way. The students also got an opportunity to bake cakes in this Practical Session. The students sold the cakes prepared by them in the Food Fest followed by the Baking Session.

Entrepreneurship Development Club

1. To set up Entrepreneurship Development Centres at all colleges affiliated to University of Kerala.
2. Build a platform at University level for the Entrepreneurship Development Centres to collaborate beyond their institutional level.
3. To create a mentoring system by linking academia with industry and ecosystem partners like NASSCOM, KERALA STATE START UP MISSION, START UP VILLAGE, ICT Academy, etc.
