Self-Defence Training
The Womens Cell of GCAS, in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), organized a Self-Defence Training session 2 exclusively for girls on February 13, 2025. The event occurred in the GCAS Seminar Hall from 1:00 to 3:00 pm.
The programme commenced with a silent prayer, followed by a warm welcome address by Dr. Vidhu Krishnan, Womens Cell Coordinator. Principal Dr. R. Gopakumar inaugurated the session by delivering a speech on the need for self-defence.
The Kerala Police Departments Self-Defence Team conducted an engaging presentation, emphasizing the importance of womens safety in public spaces. About 92 girls participated in the session. The interactive session equipped students with practical knowledge on resisting physical abuse.
As a token of appreciation, the Self-Defence Team members received mementos. Ms. Darsana V. S, a Womens Cell member, expressed heartfelt gratitude with a vote of thanks, marking the conclusion of the enlightening training session.
