GCAS Students Excel in Tally Commerce Aptitude Test

The Sixth Semester B.Com students of GCAS made an impressive showing in the Tally Commerce Aptitude Test, conducted online by G-Tech Computer Education on February 11, 2025. The test, designed to assess the students commerce aptitude skills, saw Anuganga S A from S6 B2 emerge as the top scorer with an impressive 96.67%. Afishek S R, also from S6 B2, secured the second position with a score of 93.33%. Ann Tresa Thomas from S6 B1 and Revathy P R from the same class took the third and fourth positions respectively, with scores of 86.67% and 83.33%. All students who successfully cleared the test were awarded Participation Certificates from Tally Education. The top four winners received gifts and certificates in a prize distribution ceremony. The impressive performance of GCAS students in the Tally Commerce Aptitude Test is a testament to their hard work and dedication to academic excellence.

Naishana Rafeek of S6 Psychology (GCAS) has brought immense pride to our Institution by achieving a commendable Third prize in the 19th Senior Woodball National Championship (affiliated to All India University) which took place in Maharashtra, Nagpur from 22nd to 26th March 2025.

Empowering the Jewels of the World - A workshop on Jewellery Making and Fabric Painting

The Womens Cell of GCAS, in collaboration with the Entrepreneurship Development Club and Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), organized a Women Empowerment Programme on the theme "Empowering the Jewels of the World"- A workshop on Jewellery Making and Fabric Painting in the context of International Womens Day. The Workshop was sponsored by Rotary Club of Thiruvananthapuram South Zone on 7th March, 2025 from 9.30am to 1:30 pm. The Programme commenced with a silent prayer, followed by a warm Welcome Address by Dr. Vidhu Krishnan, Womens Cell Coordinator. Principal in charge Dr.Sheela Irin Jayanti inaugurated the session by delivering a speech on the need of Women Empowerment. Sajeela Beegum. A and Malini, instructors from Kerala Council for Child Welfare conducted an engaging Workshop, emphasizing the basic lessons of Jewellery Making and Fabric Painting . The interactive session equipped students with practical knowledge on Jewellery making and Fabric Painting. Later on Principal Dr. R.Gopakumar addressed the gathering.The Representative of Rotary Club, Thiruvananthapuram South Zone explained the need of Women Empowerment. Meenu M. G, an Entrepreneurship Development Club member, expressed heartfelt gratitude with a Vote of Thanks, marking the conclusion of the enlightening training session.
