GCAS Inter-Departmental Football Tournament
The Physical Education Department of GCAS conducted an Inter-Departmental Football Tournament in Sphinx Sports Hub, Kazhakootam on 5 October 2024. The following teams won;
1. B.Com: First Prize
2. Economics: Second Prize
3. B.Com, B Team: Third Prize

Gandhi Jayanti: Cleanliness Drive in the College campus
NCC Unit Commemorated Gandhi Jayanti, by conducting a Cleanliness Drive in the College campus at 2:00 pm on 1st October 2024. This Initiative was a part of the nationwide Swachhata Hi Sewa Abhiyan (SHS) 2024 Campaign, in response to a directive from the 2(k) Battalion. A total of 30 Cadets led by Mr. Arun Viswanadh( ANO) and Ms. Navami B (Caretaker) actively participated in the Environment Cleanliness Drive, equipped with cleaning tools, and worked diligently to clean the College Ground. Their collective efforts ensured that the area was spotlessly cleaned, contributing to the National Campaign for Cleanliness. The event served as a meaningful tribute to Mahatma Gandhis Principles of Responsibility and Community Service, while promoting the importance of a cleaner and healthier Environment.

Gandhi Jayanthi Cleaning Programme
Sreekkutty S R and Anjana S Nair, the NSS Volunteers from S5 BCom participated in the ‘Gandhi Jayanthi Cleaning Programme’ organised by the Department of Physical Education, University of Kerala at the University Stadium, PMG, Trivandrum on 2nd October 2024 at 10.00 am.

Gandhi Jayanti Celebrations: Beach-Cleaning Drive
In connection with the 155th Gandhi Jayanti Celebrations,the National Service Scheme Unit of GCAS organised a ‘Beach-Cleaning Drive’ at St. Andrews Beach, Menamkulam on 2nd October 2024 from 10.00 am to 11.30 am.
A team of twenty NSS volunteers led by Mr. Sabarinath S (NSS Programme Officer) and Ms. Adithya K L (Assistant Professor of Economics) were transported to the location in a Special Bus arranged by the College Administrator, Rev. Fr. Joseph Chacko. Dr. R. Gopakumar, Principal, GCAS and Ms. Dorin Jacob, Ward Member (St. Andrews) joined the volunteers at the Beach.
Even in the midst of heavy rain, the undeterred NSS volunteers engaged in an extensive Cleaning Drive. They collected plastic, glass, and paper waste, carefully sorted it out in garbage bags, and handed it to the ‘Harithakarmasena’ for recycling.
The Drive concluded at 11.30 am and was followed by a refreshing ‘Snack and Tea’ session.
