The Department of English, GCAS, organised a talk on the topic ' Comparative Horizons: Navigating Literary Landscapes Through Translation' on 16 November 2023. The resource person was Dr Aparna Ajith, Asst Professor, Sree Narayana College for Women, Kollam. The two-hour long programme commenced with a prayer. Mr Muraleedharan, Head, Dept of English, extended a warm welcome to the gathering. Our respected Principal,Dr R. Gopakumar, delivered the Presidential Address, highlighting the significance of the topic and acknowledging the resourcefulness of the resource person. Dr Aparna Ajith, in her enlightening talk, introduced the S5, S3 and S1 students to the historical and socio-cultural atmosphere in which Malayalam Literature became enriched and familiarised them with the basics and nuances of translation. The programme came to an end with the proposal of a vote of thanks by Asst Professor Navami.
