The NCC Unit of Gregorian College of Advanced Studies demonstrated commendable Community spirit on 5th August 2024 by assisting with the Wayanad landslide relief efforts under the instructions of the Battalion. The Unit contributed a variety of essential items, as verified against the Wayanad Collector’s stock report. These included 30 kg of rice, groceries, 11 cases of water, cereals, curry powders, sanitary supplies, clothing for infants and adults, and educational materials for children. The initiative was supported by the presence of the College Principal, Dr. Gopakumar R., the Administrator, Rev. Father Joseph Chacko, ANO Arun Viswanath, and Caretaker Navami B. A team of Five Students delivered the collected items to the Mathrubhumi Office in Vanchiyoor, as directed by the Battalion. These donations, generously contributed by the Students and Faculty members, reflected the Colleges strong commitment to social responsibility and community engagement. Heartfelt gratitude is extended to all who contributed, ensuring the success of the relief efforts.
