KELTRON-NSDC and ASAP Kerala Courses : Parent – Teacher Orientation Meeting
The Parent-Teacher Orientation Meeting for KELTRON-NSDC and ASAP Kerala courses offered by Gregorian College of Advanced Studies was conducted on December 13, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. in the Seminar Hall. After a silent prayer, the meeting began with a welcome speech by Ms.D.Sarada Devi, Assistant Professor, Department of Economics and Coordinator, KELTRON courses. She extended a warm welcome to everyone and highlighted the theme and objectives of the meeting. The presidential address was delivered by Dr. R. Gopakumar, the Principal of the college. In his inspiring speech, he explained about the profound significance of the skill-training courses in enhancing students academic and personal development. The felicitation address was delivered by Rev. Fr. Joseph Chacko, Administrator, GCAS college. Through his motivating words, he emphasized the prospects and relevance of the add-on courses in raising employment-oriented skills among students. On behalf of KELTRON, Mr. Sreejith Surendran, KELTRON-NSDC Campus Program Course Coordinator, presented and explained the scope, validity, and potential career pathways of the various courses offered by KELTRON. Representing ASAP Kerala, Ms. Reshmi AR, Programme Manager, ASAP presented the opportunities, benefits, and other details of studying the different courses offered by ASAP. After a short discussion with parents, the meeting concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mrs. Aswathy V, Assistant Professor, Department of Economics and Coordinator, ASAP Courses. She extended gratitude to all the speakers, coodinators and the parents who attended the event. The anchoring of the event was carried out smoothly by Ms.Indraja, S3 Economics, with engaging interactions that kept the audience informed and involved. In conclusion, the meeting provided valuable insights into the career-based courses, providing attendees with the knowledge and guidance to make informed decisions about the various add-on courses offered at the college.
