The Student Level Orientation Meeting for KELTRON-NSDC courses offered at Gregorian College of Advanced Studies was conducted on January 20th, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. in the Seminar Hall. The meeting began with a welcome speech by Ms.D.Sarada Devi, Assistant Professor, Department of Economics and Coordinator, KELTRON courses. She extended a warm welcome to everyone and highlighted the theme of the meeting. The honourable Principal of the college, Dr. R. Gopakumar, shared his vision and insights on launching the courses at the college. In his inspiring speech, he explained about the importance of the KELTRON training courses in enhancing students abilities to effectively use career opportunities. Rev. Fr. Joseph Chacko, Administrator, GCAS college, explained the prospects of studying add on courses, through his motivating words. On behalf of KELTRON, Mr. Sreejith Surendran, KELTRON- NSDC Campus Program Course Coordinator, presented and explained the details of the various courses offered by KELTRON and gave an overview of the same. Further, through an interesting interactive session with the students, he explained about the relevance of completing employment- oriented courses, in finding suitable employment opprotunities in future. A detailed discussion was held on the various courses, with the prospects, fee structure, duration and validity of each of them. This was followed by addressing the various queries from students. After a short discussion with the students, the meeting concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Indraja SS, S3 Economics. She extended gratitude to everyone who attended the event. In conclusion, the meeting helped students to understand and compare different courses offered by KELTRON at the college. It helped to provide necessary insights to the students, on the benefits of studying career-based courses.
