Empowering the Jewels of the World - A workshop on Jewellery Making and Fabric Painting The Womens Cell of GCAS, in collaboration with the Entrepreneurship Development Club and Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), organized a Women Empowerment Programme on the theme "Empowering the Jewels of the World"- A workshop on Jewellery Making and Fabric Painting in the context of International Womens Day. The Workshop was sponsored by Rotary Club of Thiruvananthapuram South Zone on 7th March, 2025 from 9.30am to 1:30 pm. The Programme commenced with a silent prayer, followed by a warm Welcome Address by Dr. Vidhu Krishnan, Womens Cell Coordinator. Principal in charge Dr.Sheela Irin Jayanti inaugurated the session by delivering a speech on the need of Women Empowerment. Sajeela Beegum. A and Malini, instructors from Kerala Council for Child Welfare conducted an engaging Workshop, emphasizing the basic lessons of Jewellery Making and Fabric Painting . The interactive session equipped students with practical knowledge on Jewellery making and Fabric Painting. Later on Principal Dr. R.Gopakumar addressed the gathering.The Representative of Rotary Club, Thiruvananthapuram South Zone explained the need of Women Empowerment. Meenu M. G, an Entrepreneurship Development Club member, expressed heartfelt gratitude with a Vote of Thanks, marking the conclusion of the enlightening training session.
